Shadows of Africa’s fleet of custom-built safari vehicles are the perfect way to explore Africa’s parks. Our safari vehicles are 4WD Land Cruisers that have been specifically customised for your comfort and safety with features such as pop-up roofs, sliding windows, and an extended body to ensure you have a 360-degree view of the action. All our vehicles are taken in for maintenance at the conclusion of each safari and also undertake yearly refurbishment to meet stringent safety and comfort standards.
In addition, all of our vehicles come standard with in-car charging stations, first-aid kits, refrigerators, and WiFi (Tanzania only).
Shadows of Africa only employs the most knowledgeable and personable drivers. All of our guides are fluent English speakers with a real passion for the wildlife, birdlife, and plant life of Africa. They know it all and they’re only too happy to answer your questions!

Safari lunchbox has become a bit of a dirty word on the safari scene. While every lodge tries its hardest to create an interesting lunchbox experience, there’s just no avoiding a bit of repetition.
Shadows of Africa has enlisted the services of a professional chef to prepare our day one lunchbox, and the contrast in quality is obvious. Why settle for dry sandwiches and a packet of chips when you could be eating a hot meal, enjoying fresh baked sweets, and washing it all down with a hot cup of fresh-brewed coffee?
